Typhoon Usagi causes flooding in southern China

A daring and complicated rescue in southern China after flood waters brought by Typhoon Usagi strand a family of seven.

Rescue workers help transfer a child from waist-high waters onto a balcony. From there, he's moved onto a rooftop... down a ladder, then brought safely to dry land.

At least 25 people have been killed since the typhoon hit on Sunday.

Some 310,000 have been displaced with about 8500 homes being destroyed.

repair work on power lines is ongonig with power expected to be restored later this week.

In total, more than five million people have been affected by the flooding and high winds.
