Germany's Chancellor Angela Merkel is hoping to win a third term in office in this month's election. And she's going head-to-head with her centre-left rival, Peer Steinbrueck - in a live televised debate in the coming hours. Al Jazeera's Nick Spicer has been following him on the campaign trail.
