Tension in the hills continues as the demand for a separate statehood for Gorkhaland rages on despite the Calcutta High Court declaring the strike by the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha in Darjeeling illegal. Today (August 16), an all-party meet will be held in Darjeeling followed by the Hill Council meet.
