Zimbabwe prime minister calls vote a 'sham'

Morgan Tsvangirai, Zimbabwe's prime minister, has called the country's just-concluded elections a "sham" and a "huge farce" as allegations of electoral irregularities and manipulation reverberated across the country.

Although polling passed off without any major incidents, the process has been dogged by allegations of vote rigging.

Official results may not be known for weeks.
