Well-wishers congratulate Prince Charles on grandson

A day after the birth of his first grandson, Britain's Prince Charles carried on with his royal duties on Tuesday (July 23).

Joined by his wife Camilla, Prince Charles visited a village in the Yorkshire area of north England.

Charles's eldest son Prince William and his wife Kate had their first child on Monday (July 22).

Their baby son is third in line to the British throne and royal aides said the couple and their newborn were all doing well.

Well-wishers in Yorkshire congratulated Charles and Camilla on their new grandchild.

Speaking to a woman in the crowd, Camilla said she had not seen the baby yet and did not know his name.

"It's so exciting. I haven't met it, no. I haven't met him yet," she said. "We are waiting for the name."
