Valdebebas (Madrid), Jul 18 (EFE).- Xabi Alonso's participation in the first half of Real Madrid's training session which took place Thursday morning was the big surprise of the day. The player joined his team mates alongside defender Rafael Varane before once again leaving the session to individually work on his injury.
Fabio Coentrao was absent for the duration of the session, in which only 18 players partook, seeing as he also is dealing with an injury. Other missing players are those internationals that played the Confederations Cup and are, as a result, still on vacation.
The players will train again in the afternoon in order to complete their double sessions which have been the norm in the club since training began this summer.
