Raviteja who worked with popular directors like Muppalaneni Siva, SV Krishna Reddy, G Nageswara Reddy and others had got an opportunity to make debut as director for a low-budget film Ramalayam Veedhilo. He chose Santosh Pawan as hero and introduced Aithisri as heroine. The film has neither a novel subject nor a new treatment. The screenplay is boring and the director failed to impress the audiences at any given point of time. Though Suman was roped-in in one of the key roles, the director failed to utilise his acting services properly. Story: Balu (Santosh Pawan) is an average student. His father Venkataratnam (Suman) is a village elder and is known for his kind-heartedness. MRO Ramakrishna Prasad (Raj) comes as a tenant in one portion of Venkataratnam\'s house. He has a son who works in Australia and a daughter Madhumati (Aithesri) studying degree in local women\'s college. Balu whiles away his time with friends and enjoys life without any responsibility. Venkataratnam and his wife Hema (Hema) pamper their son very much. Balu falls in love with Madhu and the latter also accepts after some dillydallying. But Ramakrishna Prasad did not agree to their love and separates them, saying Balu is irresponsible. Though Balu\'s lecturer JP (Jayaprakash Reddy) tries to convince him, but he did not heed. Humiliated over the refusal to their love, Balu decides to prove himself and helps a quarry owner (Jeeva) who is unable to run it. He brings the quarry on a profit path and returns it to him. After achieving success and when he was about to reveal about it to Madhu, her father takes her away to the US. Here Balu falls into depression. After some years, Balu finds Madhu in a hospital. She loses her mental balance due to failure in love. Ramakrishna Prasad repents and the film ends with Balu taking Madhu with him. Plus: There are no notable plus points in the film. However, the conversation between Santosh Pawan, Suman at the quarry site, where he says that he would prove himself was a little impressive. A couple of songs were also shot well. Minus: The film lacks anything novel either in the subject or in its movement. The screenplay is sloppy and the direction is mediocre. Santosh Pawan still needs to improve his body language, histrionics and also in uttering the dialogues. Though the debutant heroine Aithesri has a good physique and glamour, the poor storyline and mediocre screenplay rendered her performance waste. Raj, one of the music directors of Raj-Koti duo had appeared on the screen as heroine's father, but failed to impress. Remarks: The film has nothing to boast of. Moreover, there are several scenes which are unwarranted. Especially the scenes in college backdrop with Jayaprakash Reddy were absurd and has nothing to do with the story. The goons, who come to the quarry demanding money was also not established properly as to why they are roaming there and what exactly they wanted. Suman tried to inject something in the father's role, but the director failed to make use of his services. Music by Kishan is boring. Cinematography by Surya is unimpressive and editing by Upendrakumar is too sloppy and absurd. As a whole the film is conveniently ignored.
