Australian firefighters contain oil spill

Firefighters douse a fuel spill with foam to keep it from igniting at a Caltex Australia fuel terminal in Sydney.

The facility was shut down early on Friday after about 130,000 litres of petrol spilled from a storage tank.

"We've got remote monitoring devices around the site, around the exclusion zone, just in case the levels of petrol fumes do go up again."

The incident reportedly occurred during routine maintenance on a two-million litre tank.

Although the spill was contained in a catchment area, the facility remained closed for the day.
