Raanjhana’s Sonam Kapoor in the role of Rekha inn remake of KHOOBSURAT.
Sonam Kapoor looks upbeat in her confidence after success of her film Raanjhana. Sonam Kapoor has been doing a series of films that have not worked very well at Box Office since her first film Saawariya ,opposite to Ranbir Kapoor and directed by celebrated film maker Sanjay Bhansali.
Raanjhana has enlivened Sonam Kapoor and she feels oxygenated to do a film of her home production, produced by her own sister Rhea Kapoor. Sonam Kapoor has performed an awesome lead role in Raamjhana that is a curvilinear film from Banaras to New Delhi,JNU to Amritsar to New Delhi, again. She has traveled a romantic diva but a social political activist, pursuing the dream of her late lover Abhay Deol. Her role has several shades of emotions and Sonam Kapoor has performed vey well in interaction with her lead hero Dhanush who is mad after Sonam.
Except few critiques and few spectators, audiences have loved Raanjhana over all.This has raised Sonam’s confidence and she is now doing remake of Khoobsurat in which Rekha had performed splendid role opposite to Rakesh Roshan who is now director of KRISH 3.
Sonam Kapoor is a new Rekha.Rhea Kapoor understands that Sonam in real life is like Rekha. Sonam met Rekha who is now-a-days a member of Parliament. Rekha has blessed Sonam Kapor too for the success of the film. Khoobsurat was very hit film in its own time in 1980. A long 33 years passed so remake of the film would be changed with insertion of modern elements like IPL etc.
Sonam Kapoor has very much right to work as a heroine in remake Khoobsurat.
Previous film Khoobsurat was directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee.Late actor Ashok kUMAR,REKHA, and RAKESH ROSHAN, performed very well.Scrreplay by Gulzar and Music by RD Burman had boost up the film to the height of great success.
Remake KHOOBSURAT has found heroine Sonam Kapoor but hero would be from fresh faces, being shortlisted. Shashank Ghosh would be the director.
Producer and daughter of Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor says that she does not want to make a new different film, it may be bombed and flat on the BOX OFFICE but remake is always tested. The novice and fresh idea frightens producer Rhea Kapoor. The grapes are sour. She had already produced film with Abhay Deol and Sonam Kapoor in film AISHA that was badly bombed. Therefore, Rhea Kapoor does not want to burn her fingers again…So she has enormous confidence on tested film..Waw !!!!!!!!!! .
