The shooting of Kurdish demonstrators by security forces in south-eastern Turkey unleashed another protest in Ankara on Saturday night.

Riot police used smoke grenades and water cannon to break up the gathering.

Another large protest took place in Istanbul.

It was originally planned as an anti-government protest but became a voice of solidarity with the Kurds who were shot.

One man was killed and ten others wounded on Friday when they came under fire during a demonstration against the building of a replacement police outpost.
