Snowden still in limbo in Moscow airport

U.S. fugitive Edward Snowden is still believed to be in this Moscow airport as of Thursday.

But sightings of the former spy agency contractor have so far been restricted to newspaper stands.

A flight from Moscow to Havana en route to Ecuador - where the 30 year old has applied for asylum - appeared to be his most likely way out.

But another flight to the Cuban capital on Thursday showed no sign of Snowden nor his travelling companion - a researcher for anti-secrecy group Wikileaks.

Before landing in Russia, Snowden had fled to Hong Kong.

Washington's top envoy there said the U.S.'s relationship with the territory has been harmed after Hong Kong officials allowed Snowden to leave.
