Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard had a sandwich thrown at her while visiting Lyneham High School in Canberra on Thursday (May 30).
While being greeted by a crowd of school children a student threw the salami sandwich at the prime minister hitting her on the arm.
"I think, must of thought I was hungry," said Gillard later.
The school is speaking to the student involved, local media reported.
It is the second time this month that a sandwich was thrown at her, the first was a vegemite sandwich while she visited a school in Queensland on May 8th.
