As night falls across India's burgeoning capital, tens of thousands of families, migrants and refugees find beds on pavement.

This week Amnesty International released a report stating that global inaction on human rights is making the world an increasingly dangerous place for refugees and migrants.

"I got addicted to drugs when I came here. The boy who brought me here got me hooked. When I was a child, first I used to drink, then I started smoking and then slowly I got addicted. I sort garbage and that's how I earn to feed myself. But I don't beg."
Estimates of the number of homeless in New Delhi range from 56,000 to 200,000.
Few find protection from police.
