The landscape in Moore, Oklahoma a day after a tornado ripped through the town, flattening homes and destroying lives.
Things that were once part of everyday life are now part of the brutal landscape.
Some survivors are relying on faith.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) GLORIA MARTINEZ, TORNADO SURVIVOR WHO LOST HER HOME, SAYING:
"It's hard. It's hard but you know, I know that the Lord is going to provide. He's provided before, he has shown his power to us before, so I know everything happens for a reason and we're still faithful and he's faithful to us."
For some it felt like a movie they never wanted to be in.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) CHRIS PALMER, TORNADO SURVIVOR WHO LOST HIS HOME, SAYING:
"It's going to take time to rebuild, the families, you look at you see the movies and everything, but when you are actually standing there, yeah...so."
Some salvage what they can -- still confident about the future.
