As the sun rises a day after a devastating tornado struck -- the death toll is again revised, with authorities now saying 24 not 51 bodies have been found.

Emergency workers are still on hand after working through the night

(SOUNDBITE) (English) BETSY RANDOLPH, OKLAHOMA STATE TROOPER, SAYING:

"We had hundreds of first responders that showed up. As soon as they showed up here we started giving them assignments and sending them out. They started searching for people immediately like the school, more specifically. We went over there because it was such a confined area and such devastation. It was very meticulous. We had to be careful as we stood on debris, that we weren't standing on people that weren't buried underneath, and as you can imagine just absolutely gut wrenching, trying to deal with the families and communicate and tell them.
