I have had a career of 23 years in teaching but now looking forward to presenting research on Astronomy to the general public through lectures, presentations, videos and television. I have three university degrees in Astronomy: B.Sc. from University College London; MSc from University of Edinburgh and a PhD from Durham University. Peter Grego and I have a book coming out called Galileo and 400 years of Telescopic Astronomy published by Springer in April 2010. I was the British Students Weightlifting and Powerlifting and North East England Weightlifting champion in 1984 - a good year!
