Paris quartet The Ankers formed in February of 2009 when two Australian brothers teamed up with an established backing band in the hopes of creating what they call ‘music for the mindless’.
The result is an electric eruption of sounds with psycho-psychedelic inclinations that will make you wonder if you’ve ever used your ears before.
After a year of performing in some of the best venues in Paris (Bus Palladium, Glazart,Showcase, Batofar,O' Sullivans …), the band released their first self-titled EP in October 2010, telling the story of their experiences with isolation, false pleasures and their search for new horizons.
