The English Premier League (English: Premier League), commonly known as the English Premier League or EPL, is the highest division of the football league system in England. Consisting of 20 clubs, the league uses a system of promotion and relegation with the English Football League (EFL). The season runs from August to May with each team playing 38 matches (against 19 other teams at home and away).[1] Most matches are played on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
