The showreel channel for the musical works of Jackson Latty.

Jackson Latty are a Northern based composer duo formed in 2001 to create musical soundcapes and new works.

Premiering their first new works at Inner City Pressure a concert uniting new classical and urban music in April 2002, the duo have been uniting their complementary musical skills ever since to create innovative pieces that cross the spectrum's of underground electronic based music and 21st century Post modern classical styles.

Aydees background as a logical drum and bass and broken beat Dj on the Manchester scene gave him a starting point for understanding beats and sound design from here he moved into studio based leftfield pop track creation before becoming immersed in the world of new music and finding his feet as a talented electronic composer and sound designer.

RNCM trained composer and arranger Hannah Jackson began as a classical pianist before becoming interested in orchestral compostion and underground urban music production. Although an unusual combination this fuelled Hannah's drive to exploring the face of new music into the 21st century and how new technologies can be united with orchestral craft and skill to create pioneering works. Jackson's compositional style is heavily influenced by the minimalists and leftfield electronic artists. Her passion for new harmony and in particular jazz brings a harmonically complex yet meaningful depth to the soundscapes they create.

The duo co run Edge Street studios based in the city centre's creative Northern Quarter area. Jackson and Latty are also two of the directors of top Northwest bookings agency 'Massivelive' and through this have access to some of the Northwests most talented musicians. Through Massive Live, the pair are also involved in the deisgn and creation of innovative music art and fashion events in Manchester's cultural quarter.
