Burundi in crisis Burundi is grappling with its worst crisis since 2005. There have been weeks of protests, a failed coup and clashes between rebel fighters and the army. One voter told reporters what he most wants is security. \u201cI want the country to be stable,\u201d he said, \u201ceveryone should be protected and their safety guaranteed.\u201d  Opposition parties boycott the vote 3.8 million people are eligible to vote in the election, which has been boycotted by the opposition.
