00:00In this video, you learn how you can add a border to an endless honeycomb pattern.
00:07This is the endless honeycomb pattern that was made in another video.
00:11First, create a new sketch in the part design workbench.
00:16And select this top plane to sketch on.
00:21Click on the eye icon next to binder to make it visible.
00:28Then select the Create External Geometry button.
00:32And click on the top and bottom lines to project it inside this new sketch.
00:38Now select the rectangle tool.
00:42Click on the upper left vertex and drag the mouse.
00:45Then click on the lower right vertex to create the rectangle.
00:49Click the right mouse button to exit the rectangle tool.
00:53Now, click on all the four lines to select them.
00:59And select the Offset Geometry tool.
01:08Select Intersection to create sharp corners.
01:13Check the Add Offset Constraint button.
01:18Enter minus 5 and press Enter to add the offset 5 millimeters to the inside.
01:25You can change the offset dimension later.
01:36Click on Close to exit this sketch.
01:40Select the Pad feature to extrude the sketch.
01:47For the type, choose Up to Face.
01:51Then click on the bottom face to select it.
01:58The extrusion will now only go as far as the bottom face of the part.
02:02Click on OK to apply and wait for the very short break before the video continues.

02:15Click on the eye icon next to Binder to make it invisible.
02:18Then click on the small arrow next to Pad to expand the first extrusion of the model.
02:24Double click on its sketch to edit it.
02:27Let's change the dimensions of the rectangle.
02:36Click on Close to exit the sketch.
02:42Thanks to the binder, the size of the border will always be the same as the model itself.
02:47Let's undo and redo a few times to see how the model changes.
