00:00This is a soft cell, a three-dimensional shape which fills space without gaps and overlaps,

00:06but has no sharp corners. In July 2025 on the International Space Station,

00:13Tibor Capu cautiously adds water into the skeleton. The liquid, free of Earth's gravity,

00:19first forms membranes attached to the edges and then gradually fills the whole skeleton,

00:24forming a soft cell made entirely of water. This is the first instance that a 3D shape

00:31with negative surface curvature has been realized from liquid water.
