00:00Big cook, little cook, welcome to our cafe. Big cook, little cook, want you to come and play.
00:16Meeting all the friends we cook for, sharing stories, trips and fun. Big cook, little cook, we'll cook for everyone.
00:32Hello everyone, welcome to our cafe. The best cafe in the world.
00:37I brought some very precious things in today and I'm just about to show them to Small. You can see them too if you like.
00:43Well come on then. Okay, here we go. I am opening the bag.
00:52Ta-da! It's my marble collection. I've given them all names. This one is called Sparkles.
01:00And this one is called Swirly. And this one.
01:09What's that one called? This one is called Gold Dust. And it's my absolute favourite.
01:15Actually, I think it could do with a bit of a shine. I'm sure there's a duster around here somewhere. I'll see you in a Moe Small.
01:23Hee hee hee hee hee hee! Shhh!
01:26Oh, it's so shiny. The perfect golden football for Little Cook Small.
01:37Little Cook Small's the best footballer in the world.
01:39Found a duster. We'll soon have gold or sparkling like gold.
01:46Er, where's it gone? My favourite marble.
01:51Oh dear.
01:52What's happened?
01:54I'm sorry Ben, I got a bit carried away. It looked like a football so I kicked it.
01:59Oh, don't worry Small. It's got to be around here somewhere.
02:04I'll look over here.
02:05OK, and I'll look over here.
02:08Oh, hang on Small. It'll turn up. We'll have to look for it later though.
02:12Sounds like we've got a customer.
02:14I'm on my way. Woohoo!
02:16Who's our customer, Small?
02:34Well, I never.
02:36I think we'll have to practice our bowing, Ben, because it's a royal prince.
02:41A prince? Oh, wowee!
02:45But what sort of a prince, I wonder?
02:47Hmm, give us some more clues, Small.
02:49Well, a wicked witch put a spell on him and turned him into a ribbit, ribbit thing.
02:55Ribbit, ribbit, ribbit.
02:56Oh, that's a froggy sort of sound.
02:59Oh, I know. It must be the frog prince.
03:02Exactly.
03:03So what can we cook for a royal froggy prince?
03:05I think it's time to look in my book.
03:11We need a story to help us cook.
03:21Let's take a look in Little Cook's book.
03:24Little Cook's Adventures in the Big World.
03:27Let me see.
03:31One day I was sitting on a lily pad in a pond when I heard a very sad sound.
03:37Then I noticed a little green frog sitting on a lily pad next to me.
03:41Weeping.
03:42It was an unusual frog because it was wearing a little golden crown.
03:47Hello!
03:48I said.
03:49Why are you so sad?
03:51Ribbit, ribbit.
03:52I think I must be the only frog in the world that can't swim, croaked the frog.
03:58But I'm not really a frog.
03:59I'm a prince.
04:01A nasty witch put a spell on me.
04:03I have to be kissed by a princess, ribbit, ribbit, said the frog.
04:10I wanted to help, but a kiss from me wouldn't work.
04:16And then I had an idea.
04:18I can't break the spell, but I can teach you how to swim, I told the frog.
04:23The frog was really pleased.
04:26He learned to swim very quickly and soon we were both diving off the lily pads.
04:32Then one day a golden ball plopped into the pond.
04:36It belonged to a princess.
04:37She had lost her favourite golden ball and was very sad.
04:43Ribbit, ribbit.
04:44I'll get it for you if you promise to give me a kiss, croaked the frog.
04:49And the princess agreed.
04:51Woo-hoo!
04:52The frog dived down deep into the bottom of the pond, then returned with the golden ball.
04:59The princess was very pleased to get her ball back.
05:02She nearly skipped off without kissing the frog.
05:04Don't forget your promise, I called.
05:08The princess blushed.
05:10She bent down and kissed the frog.
05:12Shazoo-m-bam-boom!
05:14Woo-hoo!
05:15He turned into a handsome prince.
05:18Soon the prince and princess were married.
05:21And guess who was best man?
05:23It was me!
05:24Little Cook to the rescue once again!
05:29That was a great adventure.
05:31So the frog prince married the princess and lived happily ever after.
05:35Wahey!
05:37Thanks to you, Small.
05:38But we still don't know what to cook for His Royal Highness.
05:42Hmm.
05:42I know!
05:51Big Cook's Big Cookery book!
05:53Of course!
05:54The Big Cookery book!
05:55There's recipes for everything in there!

06:04Ah!
06:05I found just the thing to cook for him.
06:07It's a feast fit for a prince.
06:09It's a froggy feast!
06:11That's croak-tastic!
06:13Hey!
06:13Okay!
06:14You read out the ingredients, Little Cook, and I'll see if we've got them.
06:17Okay, let's see.
06:18We're going to need a carrot.
06:20Carrot over here.
06:21Here we are.
06:22Carrot.
06:23Got that small.
06:24An onion.
06:25Onion here as well.
06:26Got the onion.
06:27Cheddar cheese.
06:28Cheddar cheese.
06:29Got it!
06:30Water.
06:31Water.
06:31We've got plenty of that in the tap.
06:33Here we are.
06:34Got the water.
06:34Couscous.
06:36Couscous should be in the cupboard.
06:38Couscous.
06:39Got it, small.
06:40A vegetable stock cube.
06:41Oh, I think we've got one of those in the cupboard.
06:43Oh, yes, here it is.
06:44Got it!
06:45Olives.
06:46And olive oil.
06:47Here's the olives.
06:49And here's the olive oil.
06:50And a green pepper.
06:52Green pepper.
06:52Green pepper.
06:53Oh, right.
06:55Here we are.
06:57Everything we need for the recipe, except a green pepper.
07:01Oh, no!
07:02Don't worry, small.
07:03Why don't you whiz off and find one, and I'll get everything ready.
07:06That's a great idea, Ben.
07:08I'll be back in a jiffy.
07:09Woo-hoo!
07:12Hey, why don't you come along too?
07:15Woof!
07:19Go, small.
07:20Go, small.
07:21Whiz away!
07:21I wonder what he'll see today.
07:31There's a train.
07:33Choo-choo!
07:34This is the right place.
07:54It's an enormous greenhouse where peppers grow.
08:00The pepper plants grow out of the soil and grow and grow and grow until they're really tall.
08:08Hee-hee!
08:09There's some peppers.
08:10This man is picking the peppers.
08:16There's one.
08:21Do you know what colour these peppers are?
08:25They're green!
08:27That's a small one.
08:29It's not ready to eat yet.
08:30It has to grow a lot bigger.
08:32There are different coloured peppers, too.
08:37There's a yellow one.
08:39And there's an orange one.
08:44Wow!
08:45Look at all the green peppers.
08:46There's hundreds of them.
08:49Hoo-hoo-hoo!
08:50That looks like fun.
08:54There's some red peppers.
08:56And some yellow peppers, too.
09:00Oh, look!
09:01Every packet has a red pepper, a yellow pepper, and a green pepper.
09:06All packed and ready to go to the shops.
09:09I'd better go.
09:10Ben will be wanting one of these peppers.
09:12Hee-hee!
09:22That marble has to be around here somewhere.
09:25Whee-hey!
09:26I'm back!
09:28Did you manage to find your marble, Ben?
09:30Oh, not yet, Small, but I will.
09:32Well, look!
09:33I've got the green pepper.
09:35Woo-hoo!
09:37Ho-ho!
09:39Well done, Small.
09:41The peppers were growing in the biggest greenhouse I've ever seen!
09:45Hee-hee-hee-hee!
09:46And I found out you can also get yellow, orange and red peppers, too.
09:51Ooh!
09:52I didn't know there were so many different peppers.
09:54Did you?
09:55Come on, let's get cooking.
09:58We're all ready, so take a look.
10:00And we will show you how to cook.
10:02The jelly boats and pirates go, Princess Pee Pies.
10:10Carrot cakes and fruit smiles.
10:12And envelopes surprise.
10:14We love our cafe and we love to cook.
10:17We have a fantastic recipe book.
10:21He is a big cook and he is small.
10:27Friends in our cafe, we cook for them all.
10:31When your tummy gets all rumbly, you're ready for a treat.
10:36Have you cleaned the surfaces?
10:48Yes.
10:48Have you washed your hands?
10:49Yes.
10:51All clean and ready to cook.
10:54Do you remember the ingredients to Froggy Feast?
10:57You do.
10:58There was a carrot.
11:00One, mostly grated, apart from five or six thin slices.
11:04An onion.
11:05Half, chopped.
11:06Cheddar cheese.
11:0725 grams.
11:09Water.
11:09200 millilitres.
11:11Couscous.
11:12100 grams.
11:13A vegetable stock cube.
11:14One.
11:15Olives.
11:16One.
11:17Olive oil.
11:18Two tablespoons.
11:19And a green pepper.
11:21One.
11:22Whoopee, let's get started.
11:25Now the first thing we need to do is turn on the oven to 230 degrees Celsius, gas mark 8.
11:32Now the oven is hot, hot, hot.
11:33So make sure you get your grown-up help to do that bit for you.
11:36And this bit.
11:37I've already started to heat one tablespoon of olive oil in a saucepan.
11:41And now I'm going to add the carrot.
11:44Sizzling away and the onions.
11:49And remember to keep stirring it with a wooden spoon so that the vegetables don't stick to the bottom of the saucepan.
12:00Mmm, that smells good already.
12:06Mmm, yes it does smell.
12:08So now it's time to add the water.
12:13There it goes.
12:14A quick stir.
12:17And then our vegetable stock cube.
12:22Crumble it in.
12:23Bit of a stir.
12:28And then keep on stirring it until it starts to boil.
12:34Ben, are you still sad about your marble?
12:36Well, no, not really small because I'm sure I'll find it later.
12:40Hey, this is boiling now, so it's time to add the couscous.
12:46And remember, this is another job for your grown-up helper because it's a hot, hot, hot job.
12:50So, in it goes.
12:54And once it's all in, keep on stirring.
12:59Stir it all in.
13:02And then we can turn off the heat.
13:09Pop the lid on.
13:11And let it stand for five minutes.
13:14I know, I've got a joke for you and Ben.
13:17What's green and sticky?
13:18I don't know.
13:21What's green and sticky?
13:22A frog diving in jelly.
13:26Oh, very good small.
13:28Right, let's get on with the recipe now.
13:31So, let's add one tablespoon of olive oil to the mixture.
13:36And then we can fluff it up with a fork.
13:44Fluffing with a fork is fun.
13:46I've cut the green pepper in half lengthways like this.
13:51And I've already scooped out the white seed and the pith from inside.
13:54So that now, we can scoop in our couscous mixture.
13:58So, I've got a spoonful.
14:00Pop it in.
14:02And another.
14:04In it goes.
14:05Oh, this looks tasty.
14:07And one more.
14:12There we are.
14:14Hey, that's a good idea.
14:17Now, wrap the filled pepper with tinfoil.
14:20Like this.
14:24Scrunch it up a little.
14:25And then, you need to ask your grown-up helper to pop it in the oven.
14:30So, oven gloves on.
14:33And over we go.
14:36Pop it there.
14:38And in it goes.
14:44It needs to cook for 15 minutes.
14:47I'll set the timer for 15 minutes.
14:58Our green pepper is cooked and cooled now.
15:00And I've taken it out of the silver foil.
15:02I've also cut the remaining half of the green pepper into quarters.
15:06Then, cut a froggy foot out of each of the pieces.
15:11Like this.
15:13Cut there.
15:14One there.
15:16Pop it out.
15:18And another one.
15:20There.
15:21And there.
15:24Pop it out.
15:26That looks great.
15:29Ribbit.
15:30Ribbit, ribbit.
15:31I'm doing froggy leaps.
15:33I'm pretending I've got froggy legs.
15:36Ribbit, ribbit.
15:38Hey, frog-tastic, small.
15:42I'm a leaping frog.
15:44Ribbit.
15:47I've just popped the frog's feet on.
15:50And I've cut out two circles of cheese as the frog's eyes.
15:54One, two.
15:56And then we can add two circles of olives as his pupils.
16:01One, two.
16:03The pupils are the little black bits in the middle of the eyes.
16:06And finally, we can use the little pieces of carrot that we saved for the decoration of the frog's spots.
16:13One there.
16:14One there.
16:16Pop a little one there.
16:18There.
16:19Two left.
16:21One on the back leg.
16:22One on the front leg.
16:24Hey, hey.
16:25Ta-da.
16:26There we have it, small.
16:27One frog feast fit for a froggy prince.
16:30Hey, hey.
16:30Quick, Ben.
16:31We'd better get it to his royal highness while it's still hot.
16:34OK.
16:35One frog feast coming through.
16:40There.
16:41All done.
16:43So what do we do now?
16:45Can't we play?
16:46Not yet.
16:47Time to clean and put away.
16:49Hooray!
16:49Wash, wipe, scrub and clean.
16:59Make the kitchen sparkle and gleam.
17:01My name's Ben.
17:06And my name's Small.
17:07We've got the cleanest kitchen of all.
17:12Tidy all the bits and bobs.
17:14The things that help us do our job.
17:16Ingredients we'll put away.
17:17Ready for use another day.
17:19Pots and pans we'll start to smell.
17:21If we don't wash them really well.
17:23And now it's clear.
17:24Let's all smile.
17:25We'll be finished in a little while.
17:27All around.
17:28Up and down.
17:30We've got the cleanest cafe in town.
17:43Aha!
17:43Here comes the plate.
17:45Oh, yes, Small.
17:47It looks like the Froggy Prince enjoyed his frog feast.
17:49Look.
17:51He's left a note.
17:52What does it say?
17:53What does it say?
17:54Let's see, shall we?
17:56It says, Dear Big Cook Ben and Little Cook Small.
17:58Thank you for my frog-tastic froggy feast.
18:02Hey!
18:02Woo-hoo!
18:03By the way, I found this tiny golden ball on the floor outside your cafe.
18:10Ben!
18:10That's your marble!
18:13Oh, yes.
18:14So it is brilliant.
18:15Hey!
18:16Oh, hang on, Small.
18:18It also says the princess would like you to have her golden ball, too.
18:22I hope you enjoy playing with them from His Royal Green Highness, the Frog Prince.
18:27Ho-ho-ho!
18:29Yippee!
18:29Look, Small.
18:31It's a sparkly golden ball.
