Tevin Biles-Thomas, the brother of Olympic gymnast Simone Biles, pleaded not guilty on Friday to multiple murder, manslaughter, and other charges, in connection to three slayings on New Year's Eve. An Ohio judge set bond at $1 million dollars for the accused, who appeared via videolink. 24-year-old Biles-Thomas was allegedly part of an "uninvited group" who entered a house party in Cleveland on New Year's Eve, leading to an altercation with guests and fatal shots being fired. Two men died at the scene and a third victim was pronounced dead at the hospital. Police say they believe Biles-Thomas was the shooter. Simone Biles in a statement on Twitter recently posted, quote "My heart aches for everyone involved, especially for the victims and their families." The pretrial hearing for her brother is set for September 18.
