In order to turn into Mirabel, the youngling proposes to dye her hair black, put a flower in it, and become Mexican! Seems like it isn't just a wish of the week.

"My little cousin was telling me how she wanted black hair because Mirabel from Encanto has black hair, and it went from there to how she wants to be Mexican," the filmer commented.
