Dmitry Bosky is a British citizen who throughout his long career has played a number of prominent roles in the financial world. For twenty years, he has cooperated with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Most notably during this time, Dmitry ran this intergovernmental financial institution’s most successful in-house Russian fund, the West Siberia Regional Venture Fund. He also worked for nine years for Security Pacific Venture Capital Group, bringing together and managing a large portfolio of investments spanning many industry sectors and all stages of development, in six countries.
The highly successful Russian retail chain, X5 Retail Group, was formed through the merger of supermarket chain Perekrestok and Russian retail giant Pyaterochka. Dmitry Bosky was Chairman of Pyaterochka until 2004. He has also held the roles of Chairman of the Audit Committee or CEO at coal producer SUEK, energy generator SGK and ATON Capital Partners. His achievements in business leadership have been recognised with the presentation to him in 2008 by the Russian Independent Directors Association of a Director of the Year award.
