Bakharla is famously renowned throughout the Burda Vistāra, Gujarat state and of course for having represented Bhārata Mātā in Russia by accompanying our then Prime Minister and entourage. This was to showcase a display of our native Dandiya Raas to the gathered audience.
Bakharla is roughly situated north east of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth place city of Porbandar. Bakharla itself is well know historically in its own right and has several places of interest and attractions which are worth visiting. Chief among these are the numerous Mandirs, one of them being the beautiful and now famous Chamunda Mandir, which is to be found on the northern outskirts of Bakharla as we head outwards on Highway 95.
