The ALS Society of Ontario is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing equipment and support services to people living with ALS and their families.
ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease and motor neuron disease, is a rapidly progressing and fatal neuromuscular disease. Approximately 80 per cent of people with ALS will succumb to the disease in two to five years. ALS affects 2,500 to 3,000 Canadians at any given time.
