Hi guys, welcome back to ClevverMusic, I'm Bridget Daly. In the wake of Whitney Houston's tragic death, it seems everyone wants to remember her the best way they know how—through song. That's why we're not surprised her music has spiked drastically in sales this week following the news that rocked Hollywood last weekend.
According to Billboard, Whitney's greatest hits album has re-entered the top 200 chart at number 6, selling 64,000 copies for the week ending on February 12. That means one only day of sales is thus far being accounted for. More Houston albums were apparently purchased in that time than in all of 2011 and 2012.
The most popular single download of the week is unsurprisingly I Will Always Love You, with 195,000 units sold.Experts anticipate an even bigger increase in sales for this week too.
