In honour of the recent release of the "new" Beatles album, the (sometimes brilliant, occasionally lukewarm) soundtrack to Cirque du Soleil's Vegas show, 'Love', I'll post my (admittedly meagre) collection of Beatles videos here today. Undoubtedly, they've already been published by others around here, so I apologise for any duplication. Here, the four lads perform 'She Loves You' at the London Palladium. Hooray for Technicolor... :)
Ah, those stylish 80s... :) Love it or hate it, this song - complete with its love-in video - is a part of the Christmas season, at least in the realm of radio, where it loops endlessly around this time of year. Released in 1984 for Ethiopian famine relief, this song spawned a whole genre of charity singles, including Tears Are Not Enough and the ever-popular We Are The World.

"Hey Bulldog" is a song by The Beatles which first appeared on the Yellow Submarine soundtrack album in 1969. Written by John Lennon (but credited to Lennon & McCartney), the song was recorded during sessions for the single "Lady Madonna", and is one of the few Beatles songs to revolve around a piano riff. During the recording, Beatles bass player Paul McCartney started to bark without warning. The next lines (initially intended as "Hey Bullfrog") were changed mid-song to "Hey Bulldog".
-It's just pining for the fjords! ... -It's not pining, it's passed on!" Clip containing one of the most famous Monty Python skits: the Dead Parrot Sketch, featuring John Cleese's hilarious monologue containing almost every euphemism for "dead" that seems to exist.
"Are You Being Served?" is one of my favourite television shows. Airing in the 70s and 80s, this Britcom skewered the British class system and various stereotypes to hilarious effect. The humour is a little bit slapstick, and thick with double entendres. Here, one episode in its entirety, entitled 'Oh, What A Tangled Web' - as indicated, this is the 6th episode in the 4th season of the show, but it was the first episode that I ever saw, which ultimately led me to discover the entire series. (Pardon the short advert in the middle - couldn't successfully delete it.)

Sadly, I'm not sure where this piece originally came from, but it's from what appears to be a biography-style program in the vein of VH1 or MuchMoreMusic. Contains clips of both David Bowie and Iggy singing together, including a funny bit from an episode of the Dinah Shore Show, from 1977.
