Demonstrators rally in New York marking 100 days that prisoners at Guantanamo Bay have been on hunger strike.

Around 100 inmates at the centre in Cuba are refusing to eat in protest against being detained for years without trial.

Some are being forced-fed to keep them alive.

The strike has sparked fresh outrage from activists who say Obama is failing on his pledge to shut the prison.

"As far as I can tell, President Obama wants to say that Congress is holding him up or these laws or it's complicated. As far as I can tell it's not complicated. It's a military prison down there and President Obama is the Commander in Chief of the military. As far as I can tell he has to pick up his phone and call someone and say: 'close the prison'. So we are asking him to do that."

The hunger strike began in February after guards seized belongings during a search.

It's not the first time the strikes
