The Postal Service releases their list for cities with the most vicious dogs.
While dogs may seem adorable to you, postal workers in some cities are likely to disagree.
The United States Postal Service is alerting Americans of the “top dog attack city rankings”. That’s right, an official list was compiled.
Based upon the number of nasty pooch incidents involving mail workers in the fiscal year 2012, Los Angeles landed at the number 1 hot spot for “most vicious” with a total of 69 recorded occurrences. Seattle and San Antonio tied for second place, both reporting 42 incidents of canines going after postal employees.
Chicago landed at the number three spot. The complete list includes 14 cities.
Wichita, Kansas along with Dallas, Tacoma and Denver came in towards the very bottom of the list.
The Postal Service press release also included some tips to avoid attacks, not just for workers but everyone in general. One noteworthy suggestion - If you are knocked down by a pet, curl into a ball and protect your face with your hands.
