Cutting edge technology built in to the newest car models can save countless lives and radically improve road safety. This was proven at a demonstration event held at the 2013 World Telecommunication and Information Society Day in Geneva. These new systems combine computers and different means of communication to send and receive information, as well as radars capable of avoiding collisions without the drivers need to intervene.
"Formula One" driver Felipe Massa was present at the event and partook in a simulation of how the use of a mobile phone at the wheel can affect the driver's capacity to maneuver safely.
