Texas tornadoes kill six

One of several tornadoes to rip through the southern U.S. state of Texas is caught on a mobile phone.

At least three tornadoes were confirmed to have hit near Dallas-Fort Worth on Wednesday night killing six and injuring dozens of others.

Rescue workers combed through mountains of debris in the middle of the night.

Some residents were still shaken by the event.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) SHARI EAST, TORNADO SURVIVOR SAYING:

"I've never been through a tornado before in my life, it was the scariest I've ever been. I have nightmares about tornadoes every year and I lived through one tonight."

The U.S. tornado season typically starts in the Gulf Coast states in the late winter, and then moves north with the warming weather, peaking around May and trailing off by July.
