The new mayor of a Minnesota town is four years old.

Being a mayor is a serious job….or maybe not? Recently, the town of Dorset, Minnesota welcomed a brand new mayor named Robert "Bobbie" Tufts.

The small area is home to only twenty residents and the town is now in the hands of Tufts, who is only four years old. It’s no joke either.

The small child’s name was chosen as part of Dorset’s annual election, where local dwellers choose the town’s mayor by picking a name out of a hat. The little cutie is said to enjoy spending his downtime with his girlfriend named ‘Sophia’. He also claims to be a diehard fisherman.

The pint sized mayor is taking his newly acquired job very seriously and it may be a good fit. A local resident stated “He's right in your face and well-spoken. You can't imagine what a ball of fire he is.”

In another report, the town is Talkeetna in Alaska with a population of about 900, is home to a cat mayor. Last year, KTUU noted - '15 years ago several of the town residents didn't like the candidates who were running for mayor of Talkeetna, so as a joke, they encouraged enough people to elect Stubbs the cat as a write-in candidate, and he actually won.'
