Paul Giamatti is finally spotted on set of The Amazing Spiderman 2 in Brooklyn, and we have the first look just for you. Giamatti is looking quite villaneous in these new photos that are surfacing from the set. Director, Marc Webb, actually teased us with this first pic via his twitter page this past weekend, where we can see a very angry, very sweaty, and very tatted look at Giamatti as Russian supervillian, Aleksei Sytsevich. Spoilers may lie ahead, so if you don't want to know about any of the story line, stop right here and check out one of our other videos. Ok, on to business...Some of these newly released set pics are pretty telling and show us a glimpse at an intense fight scene between Spidey and Aleksei, with Giamatti behind the wheel of a semi truck in what looks to be a chase scene. Spiderman jumps onto the hood of the truck, peers into the windshield, and pulls out a vial that contains a mysterious orange serum, that some are speculating might very well be the infamous Rhino serum that will turn Aleksei into The Rhino. Pretty exciting stuff right? Even while fighting bad guys, Spiderman of course has time to save the day. And in some of the other shots, we also see him stopping a bus from flipping over, and if you look closely, the bus has the logo for "The Daily Bugle" printed on the side. The Daily Bugle, if you aren't familar, happens to be the newspaper that fuels the flame for a lot of anti-superhero news in New York, particularly about Spiderman. Now, in the comics Peter Parker actually ends up working as a photographer for the paper. So, we're not sure if this may be an easter egg for a third film, or if Parker will in fact be working for the paper in his movie. Now this sequel is jam packed with a lot of baddies, with of course Giamattia as Rhino, Jamie Foxx as Electro, and Dane Dehaan as Harry Osborn, and we are curious to see which one of these characters gets the biggest, and baddest fight scenes. So, stay tuned, right here at ClevverMovies so we can give you any juicy plot updates, when they happen.
So, at first many of you out there weren't so sure Giamatti was going to pull off The Rhino, and while these photos aren't necessarily of him as "Rhino" perse,
He looks kinda convincing as a bad guy, don't you think? Or do you? Make sure you give us all of your thoughts on this and make sure you're following us on twitter too at ClevverMovies. Thank you so much for checking back with us, Im Erin White, and Ill see ya next time.
