Ewan McGregor gets bad in the indie Western, Jane Got A Gun, and we have the details. The actor is currently in the negotiation stage to play a big time outlaw gang leader in the new Gavin O'Connor directed project. Ewan gets to join a stellar cast including Joel Edgerton, Noah Emmerich, and even gets to reunite once again with his Star Wars co-star Natalie Portman! Now this project...Oh my goodness you guys...they could probably write a movie based on all of the drama that's happened. The original director, Lynne Ramsay backed out of the movie the night before production was supposed to start and then, Jude Law backed out almost simultaneously as well. And Jude Law originally was cast in what may be Ewan McGregor's new role. But get this...even before they started talking to McGreggor, they cast Bradley Cooper, but he ended up not having time to do it due to his shooting schedule on the new David O Russell film, American Hustle. So for a while it seemed like this project just couldn't get legs, but casting Ewan McGregor could be a great step forward in a project that has taken so many steps back. McGregor is a real talent, and his most recent movie The Impossible got a ton of great reviews, so while he's not known to play many villans, perhaps he has a lot to bring to such an interesting character. Jane Got A Gun is about an outlaw who leaves a gang to return home to his wife, Jane. Jane finds out that the former outlaw mates of her husbands past are planning on coming to hunt she and her husband down, and she prepares to protect herself, her husband, and her. So, can you see Ewan McGregor as a villan in this movie? And what do you think of all of these casting changes that have happened in Jane Got A Gun?
