Tom Cruise brings Oblivion to Japan

Tom Cruise jokes about how his co-star Olga Kurylenko nearly killed him on set during the making of "Oblivion."

STORY: Hollywood actor Tom Cruise, actress Olga Kurylenko and director Joseph Kosinski were in Tokyo on Tuesday (May 7) to promote the movie "Oblivion" a futuristic movie set in the year 2073.

Cruise plays Commander Jack Harper, a drone mechanic and one of the last men left on Earth, who teams up with Morgan Freeman's character Beech, to try and save the world.

During the news conference, Cruise joked about how leading lady Kurylenko tried to kill him on set during filming.

"And every bump I hit, her hands would come off and grab the wheel as I am going 70 miles an hour on a bike that's very unstable, and that was, that was very dangerous and I kept saying and she just couldn't help herself," he said.

"You were just nervous and you sorta wanted to drive and I said please, please Olga, please please hold on.
