Amsterdam decked itself out in orange as the Kingdom of the Netherlands celebrates the 33 year reign of Queen Beatrix, who has abdicated, and the coronation of her son, the newly crowned King Willem Alexander.
Thousands turned out to mark the occasion and the festivities look set to carry on until the early hours. Watch the video to get a flavour of the full party atmosphere.
