Matthew Vaughn's, The Secret Service, might have just landed one of it leading men. And while he's a very talented and acclaimed actor, he is a bit of a newbie in this genre as this will be his first role in a comic book type adaptation. And who is one of the faces of new The Secret Service movie, well that my friends is Mr.Colin Firth. Colin, as you all know, is a fantastic actor and won an Oscar for his performance in The King Speech back in 2010. The Secret Service story is about a London ruffian who is recruited by his uncle to join a British spy school that basically turns it's students into James Bond types. Actually, co-writer Mark Millar recent told Heat Vision that the story is what he calls quote "James Bond meets My Fair Lady." Colin Firth is said to be negotiating to play the role of the uncle in the story, and this is the first big casting news we have heard on this project so far. But not a bad start. Matthew Vaughn joined Mark Miller on this project, after Vaughn of course dropped out of doing X-Men: Day of Future Past, and Vaughn started adapting the script with Jane Goldman. This, of course, isn't the first time Vaughn has brought an adaptation to life on the big screen. He and Miller also worked together on the very successful action crime comedy, Kick Ass. So with the news of this casting, and this partnership, we think this project is off to a great start. The Secret Service is set to hit theaters November 14th of 2014. So, are any of you excited about this new Matthew Vaughn, Secret Service project? What other front runners could you see taking the other role of the 007 type lead?
