Registered nurse Nicolas Ashley Martin, 24, was charged with violations of drug distribution laws after he allegedly obtained morphine from Carolinas Hospital System where he worked by fraud, misrepresentation, deception and/or subterfuge. He reportedly tried to cover up the thefts by furnishing false and fraudulent information in patient records required to be kept while performing his duties as a registered nurse. The patient did not receive the morphine as ordered. Martin was arrested by S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control agents and held in the Florence County Detention Center until he made bond.Nicolas Ashley Martin
