Emergency Response Centre beneath Nagan Chowrangi Flyover inaugurated by Governor Sindh

Sindh Governor Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan inaugurated a first of its kind emergency response centre established beneath the Nagan Chowrangi Flyover by the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC).

The KMC said more such emergency response centres would be established at important traffic intersections to deal with any disastrous situation on a round-the-clock basis.

These centres will be equipped with a fire brigade, ambulances, rescue units, heavy machinery and emergency equipment. Citizens could also seek any help from these centers through the phone.

Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan, speaking at the inaugural ceremony, said that emergency response centers were an important requirement of the metropolitan city and their existence was necessary.

He stressed on the need for setting up more emergency response centres in the city. Dr Ebad added that the requirement of emergency help centres was increasing with each passingt day, therefore, more and more areas should the necessary machinery and manpower into their network.

Administrator KMC Muhammad Hussain Syed said on the occasion that emergency response centers were being established at such locations of the city from where maximum coverage and swift response could be provided to different areas.
