A LEGO school is now open.
The Lego company is going to open their own school in Billund, Denmark.
The LEGOLAND amusement park in Billund is already the largest Danish tourist attraction that lies outside of the capital city of Copenhagen.
The International School of Billund will be a private school, with a cost of around 525 dollars a month.
The school’s British head teacher Richard Matthews said: “Allowing time for creativity, play and getting into a state of flow is at the centre of Lego’s philosophy and we’ll be experimenting with this and other ideas in the timetabling.”
With plans to open in August 2013, the school will allow three to seven year old students to attend.
Legos are already being used in many schools, including at High Point University in North Carolina, where elementary age students work together on different projects with college students on LEGO Day.
The Lego Company has been contributing to the pursuit of knowledge through curriculum designed for many types of classrooms and grade levels from preschool to University.
