A 79-year-old crashes a car into a Target store.

Ofcourse, all stereotypes about elderly drivers are not true but there are exceptions.

Recently, a 79-year-old woman, Norma Joan Brennan crashed right into a Target store in Florida.

On the morning of the incident, she had met the Reverend from her church in the parking lot of the department store. Brennan previously had her license suspended due to a medical condition.

She was reportedly getting some driving tips from her church friend because she was scheduled to have her driver’s license restored later in the day. In an attempt to calm the elderly woman’s nerves, the Reverend suggested they try some driving maneuvers in the parking lot.

That’s when Brennan mistook the accelerator for the brake and crashed right into the building. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries, but Brennan received a citation.

Last year, a 92-year-old female driver drove into a pool in suburban Northbrook, Illinois. She reportedly drove over a curb and through a fence before plummeting into the water.

Two police officials jumped in to help get the woman out of the vehicle. Luckily the pool only contained approximately 3 feet of water and the woman was uninjured.
