The top 4 ladies left standing perform on American Idol, including a Drake cover and we see a Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey duet! Hello Idol Lovers, you're watching your IDOL CAP here on ClevverMusic. Season 12's Top 4 performed last night, first singing a song of their choice, and then picking a one-hit wonder song. The four ladies also performed duets together. It was after Amber Holcomb and Kree Harrison did a duet of Adele's "Rumour Has It" that we finally see judges Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey getting along on the show. During their critique of Amber and Kree's duet we see Nicki and Mariah's first tender moment, take a look.

That moment just warms our heart. It is worth noting that the two actually have worked together in the past, on a song called "Up Out My Face". So can we finally put all those rumors of the two not getting along to bed? MMm probably not. Let's move on to finalist Candice Glover, who surprisingly picked a Drake song as her "contestant's choice" song. Take a look at her "Find Your Love" performance to see how she did.

Candice explained she picked a Drake song because she met him last year and told him to watch her on Idol this season. Nicki Minaj, who is apparently besties with Drake told Candice after her performance she told Drake to watch the show tonight and will get him to comment on Candice's performance! Lucky girl. Now let's end with the best performance of the night, Angie Miller. She stood out in all her performances on the Top 4 show, but it was her "Contestant's Choice" song that blew us away. Check out Angie singing Jessie J's "Who You Are".

After that performance, not surprisingly Nicki Minaj commented, "No one compares to you when you are behind the piano." And Randy Jackson judged, "That was a ten out of ten!" At the end of the show Ryan Seascrest teased us that a "surprise twist in the competition" is coming in the next show, likely something to fill the void since the judges never used their one save of the season. Now tell us—who do you think should go home tonight?! This is a tough one right? Thanks for watching our Idol Cap my friends, I'm Misty Kingma see you soon with more Idol everything.
