KTLA) The man suspected of kidnapping and assaulting a 10-year-old Los Angeles area girl has been apprehended in Mexico, law enforcement sources told The Times.
There were no immediate details about the capture of Tobias Dustin Summers, 32.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation and Los Angeles police have been concentrating their search efforts south of the border for several weeks. Summers was charged in his absence this month with 36 counts of sexual assault, as well as kidnapping and first-degree burglary, the L.A. County district attorney’s office said. If convicted, he faces multiple life terms in prison.
