Germany‘s biggest airline, Lufthansa, had to cancel almost all of its flights in Germany because of a strike over pay. From more than 1.700 scheduled flights only 32 took off. Ground staff laid down work amid an ongoing pay dispute with the airline .The union demands a 5.2 percent wage increase over 12 month and job guarantees. The airline‘s offer was rejected as "not negotiable‘.
