Skystream Re-engineered survives T-Storm
This is the re-engineered Skystream in the other video getting its first test in extreme conditions. This T storm is the first one to hit the turbine from a direction that is open. The previous T storm was from the North West which was shielded by the house. This storm came right up the valley where the turbine test stand location is wide open. The output to the grid at turbine shutdown was 4000 watts (4210 watts into inverter). After analyzing the data captured, I have "tweaked" the high end of the power curve to extract a bit higher peak energy before shutting down. All that said, I am very pleased with the turbines performance.
