Spain has approved a new eviction law that allows those with payment problems more opportunities to keep their houses. The text has been deeply criticized by the rest of the political formations of the Spanish Parliament. They say it doesn’t solve the real problem the evicted are suffering, nor does it include any of the proposals made by them or by the platform of the affected families by bank mortgages. Some of the proposals that haven’t been listened to were focused on a higher control over the banks including negotiated solutions between the banks and the debtors, a retroactive pay in kind for all the evicted, or the penalization of all eviction process.
