The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducts its newest members

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducts eight new music stars.

American rock band Heart, hip hop pioneers Public Enemy and blues guitarist Albert King were among those welcomed into the esteemed institution.

A-list stars were on hand to help groove the nominees into the hall.

Jennifer Hudson, sang a tribute to disco queen Donna Summer.

And R&B singer Usher paid tribute to producer Quincy Jones with "Rock With You" while Oprah Winfrey was on hand to thank Jones for first discovering her for the 1985 film "The Color Purple."

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction concert and ceremony will be aired on U.S. cable channel HBO on May 18.
